How long have you been working in the events industry?

a little over 2 years now

What was your first paid job in the events industry?

actually a cover for Brides magazine 2006...I was thrilled!

What is your worst ever gig, and why?

I haven't had a bad gig yet, HONEST! So far so lucky I guess - I love what I do and don't take anything that's difficult to heart. One reason why I love to freelance.

What is your best ever gig, and why?

working with Fresh Design+Film and Glenn Sweitzer ...he rocks

What is your least favourite thing about working as an event technician?

both love and hate working for myself at times...:) constant marketing but it keeps me totally on the edge, which is cool

What is your favourite thing about working as an event technician?

working for myself - meeting new people and getting call backs from them..:) also traveling.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

travel, swimming, painting, cooking and gardening

What do you do to get through the boring times of being an event tech? i.e. Waiting 3 hours for the tour truck to arrive..

reading helps...and constantly playing with my colors to keep my edge...I love makeup so much...so constantly trying combinations is cool

What job would you have if you were not an event tech?

before this gig I was an office manager in a venture capital concern in SF...I suppose I would do that or... be a starving artist with my paintings.
